James Burns, an associate in Clapp Moroney’s San Francisco/Peninsula Office, is a member of the Tort/Personal Injury and Products Liability Group. Mr. Burns has extensive experience representing a diverse client base in a broad rang of civil matters, including products liability, toxic tort, personal injury, property damage, contract disputes and business and commercial litigation. Mr. Burns’ practice entails frequent appearances in court and in the last six months he has briefed argued and won two summary judgment motions.
James earned his Bachelor of Arts in political science and history from the University of California, at Davis and his J.D. from the University of San Francisco School of Law. While in law school, Mr. Burns received the CALI award for Excellence in Bankruptcy. James also worked as a judicial extern in the San Francisco Superior Court for the Honorable Thomas J. Melon and in the Law and Motion Department while attending law school.
