Stephen V. Harrington

Stephen Harrington is a Partner with the Clapp Moroney firm and heads the Environmental Law Group.  He has been practicing law for thirteen years and specializes in Environmental and Toxic Tort claims involving property damage and personal injury.   He represents clients in both state and federal court in the defense of various litigation cases involving Pollution and Remediation claims, and California’s Safe Drinking Water & Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986 – Proposition 65.  He represents manufacturers, suppliers, contractors and property owners in claims involving Benzene, Asbestos, Mold, Lead, Silica and similar toxic tort claims.  He efficiently and effectively handles all aspects of the litigation process, including Alternative Dispute Resolution, trials and appeals.  He has successfully disposed of numerous cases through sharp law and motion practice.

Since joining the firm in 2004, Stephen has also handled the defense of general civil litigation matters, including products liability and premises liability.

Stephen graduated from University of San Francisco with a B.A. in Politics.  He received his J.D. from University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law in 2002.  During law school, he was a Staff Writer and Assistant Managing Editor of McGeorge’s international law journal, The Transnational Lawyer.  He was admitted to the State Bar of California in 2002 and is licensed to appear in the United States District Court for the Northern and Eastern Districts of California.

Stephen is an active member of various local county bar associations and the Claims and Litigation Management Alliance.
